This spring craft is perfect for kids, but fun for adults too! Create little baby birds that have just hatched using yarn pom-poms nestled into DIY Unfinished Wood Egg Cups. Create a nest with raffia ribbon and add a cardstock beak and googly eyes for an instant chick! Rickrack ribbon around the egg cup adds a spring touch. These chicks look especially sweet when grouped together for spring tabletop decor.

Paint the DIY Unfinished Wood Egg Cups with craft paint and a foam brush. I used pastel colors of Apple Barrel® Acrylic Paint, but you could also use washable tempera paint.

Cut small pieces of raffia ribbon to place inside the egg cup. You'll want the pieces to be long enough to poke out the sides and look like a nest. Secure the raffia strands inside the cup with Aleene's® Quick Dry Tacky Glue® or hot glue.
