We are just in love with the concept of a Noah's Ark Baby Shower! Perfect for a boy or girl, full of bright colors and adorable animals, the theme is so wholesome and sweet. We wanted to create a unique piece of decor for our baby shower that could be used by the mom-to-be after the big day in the baby's nursery. This darling Noah's Ark inspired baby mobile is stimulating with various colors, patterns and of course, plenty of animals!
To start creating this adorable craft, you'll need to select a rainbow pattern of Wool Felt Pom-Pom Balls to adhere to a Large Wooden Embroidery Hoop.
Begin to adhere the Wool Felt Pom-Pom Balls to the Wooden Embroidery Hoop, spacing them about a half of an inch or so apart.
While the glue is setting for the Pom Poms, select the Mini Zoo Stuffed Animals that you'd like to include on the mobile. We suggest using about five Mini Zoo Stuffed Animals.
Using Hot Glue, adhere a string of Blue Yarn to the back of the first Mini Zoo Stuffed Animal. Trim the yarn to your desired length. We made ours about 14 inches long.
Secure the opposite end of the Blue Yarn to the Wood Embroidery Hoop and tie in a double knot. Allow the Zoo Stuffed Animal to suspend. Repeat this step until all of the Animals are strung from the Hoop and evenly spaced.
Trim a length of Blue Yarn to the same length that you cut for the Zoo Stuffed Animals. We trimmed ours to 14 inches. Using a thin knitting needle, slide three Wool Felt Pom-Pom Balls onto the Yarn and slide them so they are equally spaced along the Yarn, but hang towards the bottom of the length of string.
Gather the four long strings of Yarn and the Yarn strung with Wool Felt Pom-Pom Balls and pull them up evenly above the Embroidery Hoop. Tie them in a large knot. This is the point from which your mobile will hang.
Suspend your DIY Baby Mobile at your Noah's Ark Baby Shower or use it as an adorable piece of decor in your baby's nursery!
