Easy and fun-to-make no-bake Nutcracker Mouse King Strawberries are perfect for a Christmas party! Watch one of your favorite Christmas characters come to life with this fun food craft. Nobody will be able to resist these chocolate-dipped strawberries with colorful mini candy cane tails and a Nutcracker Mouse King face! These easy Christmas treats are so cute and would make an adorable addition to any holiday dessert table or Nutcracker Christmas-themed party.

Ingredients:
Makes 12 Strawberry Mice
  • 12 Strawberries
  • 1 Bag White Candy Melts
  • Black Food Gel
  • Mini Colorful Candy Canes
  • Black And Pink Edible Food Pens
  • Pink Nerds Candy

In a glass bowl, melt white candy melts in the microwave. Remove a tablespoon of melted candy and place into a small separate bowl. Add 1-2 drops of black food gel and stir until it's dark gray. Gradually mix in a small amount of the dark gray candy into your larger bowl of white melted candy until you get the light gray color of a mouse.

Place wax paper onto a baking sheet. Add a few spoonfuls of the gray melted candy into a sandwich bag or frosting bag. Cut the tip of the bag and pipe small circles of gray candy onto the wax paper and let completely cool and harden. Place baking sheet in the freezer or refrigerator to speed up the process.

With a butter knife, cut a small corner off of the gray circles and draw the pink part of the Mouse King's ears with your edible marker. Set aside.

Twist off the stem of the strawberries. One at a time, dip one half of a strawberry into the melted candy and place onto wax paper.

Quickly add ears and a pink candy Nerd for a nose to the strawberry before the candy dries. Place a small crown ring on the head. Repeat this step on all strawberries.

With a black edible pen, draw the face.

Immediately before serving, gently press a mini colored candy cane into the strawberry for a tail. You can use some melted candy as glue. This step is optional. Important Note: The part of the candy cane inside of the strawberry will start to melt, so make sure you don't add the tails until right before your party.
