When warmer weather rolls around and the sun is shining bright, an ice-cold slushie always seems to hit the spot! This orange crush slushie recipe is refreshing and oh so tasty! The combination of orange soda and vanilla ice cream lend a nod to creamsicle push-up pops that the ice cream truck brings around in the summer time. So good! We served these slushies for a Citrus Inspired Graduation Party, but they're really perfect for any warm weather soiree. Mix a few up and see for yourself. Be careful, though, you may not be able to stop at just one!
- Orange Crush® Soda
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Ice
Gather a bowl of ice, orange Crush® soda, vanilla ice cream, and an ice cream scoop on the counter by your blender. Scoop some ice into the blender, filling about half to two-thirds full.
Pour orange soda over the ice, filling the blender to about halfway.
Top the ice and soda with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Put the lid on the blender and blend until all of the ingredients are mixed well.
The blended mixture should be...slushy. If the mixture is too loose, add more ice and/or ice cream. If it is too thick, add more soda in small increments. Continue to adjust until the slushies have reached the consistency and flavor that you love.
Spoon the slushie mixture into Clear Stemless Plastic Wine Glasses. These free Citrus Straw Flag Printables secured to Gold Foil Striped Straws look great tucked inside each glass. If you're serving these slushies for a graduation party like we did, the addition of Graduation Cap Charms and Rainbow Leather Tassels to the straws add a festive touch.
