Ready, set, fold! Make adorable paper origami bracelets for a fun hands on activity. Have your kids create their own friendship bracelets with colorful patterned paper or use white cardstock to custom design with crayons, markers or paint. Ella and Annie created a rainbow bracelet using our rainbow paper pack! Create these paper origami bracelets with colorful cardstock, washi tape, ruler and scissors. Once your kids get the hang of origami, they will love it.
Cut 15-20 strips of paper 12 cm x 3 cm for each bracelet. Fold each strip in half lengthwise and then one once again widthwise.
Take two of the folded pieces and place one inside of the other; making sure that the vertical strip has the fold at the top. Take one of the bottom layers and fold it up so that it is parallel with the adjacent strip.
Next, fold it up onto the parallel strip.
Place a piece of washi tape on the folded up strip to hold it in place. Repeat on the other side. Insert the third strip into the loop you've just created; making sure the fold is at the top (as pictured).
Take one of the bottom layers and fold it up so that it is parallel with the adjacent strip. Tuck the end into the pocket you made in the previous step (see image). Repeat the steps until your paper bracelet is long enough to fit around your wrist.
Tuck the last strip into your last loop and repeat the steps above, tucking the last ends into the pockets. Make sure to remove the tape. Wear your gorgeous paper origami bracelet!
