Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with this super fun Fourth of July windsock craft! Make these adorable windsock rockets the day before the July 4th holiday so that you can hang them for your party decor. These patriotic windsocks look gorgeous twirling in the breeze. The best part, they are no mess therefore no stress! Grab some July 4th self-adhesive foam stickers and streamers to get started. Have fun watching your little rocket windsocks soar!
Use a bowl or circular object to trace a circle, about 4-5". Cut out the circle from the craft foam. Find the center of the circle and cut a small slit from one side of your circle to the center.
Wrap the foam around itself to form a cone shape. Hot glue the foam into place. Put glue around the rim of the craft roll and press the cone firmly on top.
Use the fun Fourth of July self-adhesive foam shapes to decorate the craft roll. Use red and blue Sharpies® to let the kids get creative and add their own doodles. They can also paint these white craft rolls or use other washable markers and crayons.
Once the streamers are glued on, cut each streamer from the bottom in half for thinner strips. Hot glue a ribbon on the top of your July 4th windsock and hang for the upcoming holiday!
