This photo backdrop featuring Snoopy and Woody was a big hit at our recent Peanuts® Graduation party! My daughter Stella will soon be graduating from Kindergarten and Hazel will be graduating from Preschool, so we held a festive play date with a few friends in honor of their big milestones!

Find a wall in a well-lit area to serve as your photo backdrop. If you’re like me, you may need to move a bit of furniture and wall decor to start with a clean slate! I used the wall in our foyer for our backdrop and started by hanging the 2016 banner (I took the graduation caps off of the end of the banner so it would fit on the wall). I also decided to move the banner even lower than shown in this photo as I wanted to make sure it was more at a child’s level and wouldn’t get cut off in the photos.

I prepared the Peanuts® party fans by unfolding them and sealing them shut with a dab of hot glue in addition to the adhesive strip they come with. I then trimmed the white tab off of the fans which I planned to attach to the wall with thumbtacks.

I’ve found that thumbtacks are the best way to hold a paper fan to a wall securely. I’ve tried masking tape before but the fans end up falling off the wall! I tried to conceal the thumbtacks by positioning them behind the garland or behind other fans. I also hung the fans with strings from existing nails when possible to avoid putting more holes in the wall!

Continue filling out the photo backdrop with more party fans and a few of the cute Peanuts® cardboard cutouts. I hung a couple of my fans from existing nails rather than thumbtacks to limit the number of holes I put in my wall!

I finished the photo backdrop with a couple more colorful garlands. I used a Peanuts® character (that I removed from an extra party fan) to conceal the tape holding up the garlands! Just add a loop of painters tape on the back and stick on the wall.
