This patriotic craft for Stars & Stripes week of Camp Fun is perfect for all ages of campers. This flag craft for kids is so easy to make with just a few simple craft supplies and can be done in just 30 minutes. The results are so sweet and make the perfect door decoration for the 4th of July.
Start by lining up the craft sticks to create the flag, then painting the craft sticks in alternating colors of red and white sticks. Then let the sticks dry.
Peel the backing off the large white piece of foam and lay vertically across the popsicle sticks so that it is touching each one. This will be the back of the flag and hold all of the sticks together. You will want to make sure the foam sheet is trimmed to size to fit the back of the craft stick flag.
Cut out a blue rectangle from the foam sheets for the front of the flag. Flip the flag over and add the blue rectangle of foam by peeling off the foam backing and sticking it to the top left corner of the flag.
Decorate the blue rectangle with the foam star stickers.
Find a place to display your flag proudly! Just hang them from their front door with a note before the 4th of July!
