Get ready for some fun, family-friendly holiday crafts! Ella and Annie created some adorable, classic holiday characters using craft sticks, aka popsicle sticks. Make The Grinch™, Santa Claus, Elf, an Angel and Gingerbread Man. To keep the fun going we also have simple kits to build your own Snowman, Reindeer, Manger, and Christmas Tree Popsicle Stick Craft! Use each craft stick creation for a holiday tree ornament!
Line five crafts sticks up together and use two shortened craft sticks with hot glue to hold them together. Paint the craft sticks green. Cut two triangles, large and small from the red glitter craft foam. From white craft foam, cut a small circle and thin rectangle for the Santa hat.
For the Grinch's eyes, cut two yellow rain drop shape eyes. Start by gluing on the eyes, and hat. Using a Sharpie®, draw the eyes, eyebrows and mouth. We added a small red glitter heart for finishing touches!
Line five crafts sticks up together and use two shortened craft sticks with hot glue to hold them together. Combine orange and white acrylic paint to make skin tone paint. Paint the craft sticks. Cut a white triangle from white craft foam for the angel's dress. Cut two medium triangles and round their edges for the angel's wings. Make hair from the yellow craft foam and add trim to her dress with the glitter silver craft foam. With a gold chenille stem make the angel's halo and glue it to the back of the angle. Draw two eyes, mouth and rosy cheeks using Sharpies®.
Line five crafts sticks up together and use two shortened craft sticks with hot glue to hold them together. Cut a glitter green foam rectangle to fit body of the elf. With yellow craft foam cut a cute sweater and a black belt from black craft foam. Cut brown hair from the brown craft foam and glue all shapes on the elf. Using Sharpies® draw eyes, mouth and rosy cheeks.
Line five crafts sticks up together and use two shortened craft sticks with hot glue to hold them together. Paint the craft sticks brown. Add white wavy trim to the top and bottom of your gingerbread using a paint marker. Using a black Sharpie®, draw eyes and a mouth. Cut two to three small circles for buttons. Take a silver and red chenille stem and twist them together to make a candy cane. Glue the mini candy cane on to the gingerbread man.
Line five crafts sticks up together and use two shortened craft sticks with hot glue to hold them together. Cut a glitter red foam rectangle to fit body of the Santa. With white craft foam cut a beard and a black belt from black craft foam. Cut white hair from the red Santa hat. Attach all shapes to craft sticks. Using Sharpies® draw eyes, mouth and rosy cheeks.
Glue the three craft sticks into a triangle shape to make the Christmas tree. Cut the green chenille stems into tiny pieces, set aside. Decorate the tree with colorful gems, attach using hot or Elmer's glue. Trim the tree with the tiny green stems and yellow star.
Line five small craft sticks in a row and glue each of them to the brown foam manger backing. Glue the two rounded craft sticks to the base of the manger and cover with the hay. Make the roof by arranging the remaining craft sticks into a triangle at the top of the manger. Glue on the star, baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
Line the six craft sticks together with all the black at the top. On the backside (all white), glue the two white foam strips to hold the snowman together. Create the hat by gluing the black craft stick across the top and place the red foam piece directly above it. Add the foam star, eyes, carrot nose and mouth.
