These fun flower pots for Nature Explorers Week of Camp Fun do double duty – not only can they be potted with flowers, but they can also be decorated with them too! We used the DIY Flower Pots with removable paper liner and headed outdoors to collect pretty flowers and leaves to use as decorations. Just glue the flowers, press them to dry, and decorate with oil pastels for added color before reinserting the liner in the pot. Plant with a small flower, herb, or succulent and display on your windowsill!
Head outside to collect flowers, leaves, and other interesting foliage. Don’t forget to take time to smell the flowers as you pick them! You can use a small bucket to collect your finds.
Spread out your nature finds on a table and remove a paper liner from one of the DIY Flower Pots.
Use tacky glue to attach the flowers and leaves to the paper and let dry completely.
You can further decorate your paper liner with oil pastels or crayons if you like.
Press the paper liners between a heavy book for several days until the flowers and foliage are dried and pressed completely. Reinsert the paper liners into the pots and fill with soil and a small plant.
