If your child is older than 6 or able to cut duct tape on their own, you're ready to start using tape to create your robot. If your child is around 6 or younger, prepare strips of duct tape on a bench, table or counter. Each strip can be about 4-6 inches. If you're working one on one with your child, this may not be necessary, but if you're working with a group of kids on the younger side, it will be way more manageable to prepare strips of tape ahead of time.

Begin to tape your boxes together and adhere tape to the outside of your boxes. Some kids like to tape their robot together first and then tape the whole outside. Other kids prefer to tape each box and then tape them all together. It's up to you. The robots look best when the entire outside is covered.
