Bring more life to your Vacation Bible School classroom with this DIY decorating idea! Break your students into groups to build their robots, which then can patrol the classroom and be a character in photos. Simple to set up, this idea doesn't require anything too complicated - just everyday craft supplies.

1

Cover two large and two small cardboard boxes with colored paper.

Adhere huge wiggle eyes to the paper plates and adhere the plates to one of the larger boxes.

Adhere a plastic bucket on top of the large box with the wiggle eyes and two cups, each on one side of that box.

Cover two long, skinny boxes in duct tape and adhere the two small boxes to the bottom of the long skinny boxes as shown.

Adhere the second large box (the one without the eyes) on top of the two long skinny boxes. Decorate that large box with foam shapes, etc.

Adhere a small stack of silver cups to the top of the body box as shown. Apply glue to the top cups and adhere the head box on top.

To make an arm, cut a pool noodle in half and glue it to the inside of a cup. Glue the cup to the side of the body box. Do the same on the other side.

Cut a paper plate in half to adhere to bottom box along with a plastic tray and plastic shapes.

Use half of a paper plate or markers to draw a mouth on the head box.
