When hosting a Dusty Rose & Green Wedding, what better dessert than a delicate rosewater infused Panna cotta. I love how quick and easy they are to whip up! Not only does it taste great, it is an elegant addition to your place settings. Serve on top of a cupcake stand and use rose petals as a delightful (and safe to eat) edible accent.
- 1 c. Heavy Cream
- 2 Tbs. Sugar
- 1 t. Unflavored Gelatin
- 1 tbs. Water
- 1/3 c. Marscapon Cheese
- 2 t. Rosewater
- 2 Drops of Pink Food Coloring
Add the sugar to the cream. Bring the cream and sugar to a slight simmer in a saucepan until the sugar has melted.
Using a separate bowl add water to the gelatin and stir until the gelatin has softened.
Add the remaining ingredients to the cream and sugar mixture. Then add these to the gelatin and water. Mix until smooth.
Strain the mixture (use a sieve) into individual ramekins.
Chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours until set.
As an alternative use 2 drops of pink food coloring during the mixing stage to obtain a pink Panna cotta.
Place a single rose petal on the Panna Cotta and then place the ramekin on top of a cupcake stand.
If you prefer, the Panna cotta can be served outside of the ramekin. Run a sharp knife around the inside edge of the ramekin. Then put the ramekins in a bowl of hot water for a few seconds. Turn it over onto the cupcake stand.
Put the cupcake stand onto your place setting and decorate with dried roses. It looks beautiful on top of the marble and gold.
