Rustic Farmhouse Christmas Tree & DIY Ornaments

Creating DIY Christmas tree ornaments is a must! Every year I come up with a new DIY ornament that can be added to my tree. The last two years have been a Rustic Farmhouse Christmas Tree and Mantel theme. This year I have created an easy DIY terrarium ornament that coordinates perfectly with my tree! Everyone always asks me what steps I take in decorating my Christmas Tree. Here are my how-to steps for easy Christmas tree decorating. How to Easily Decorate Your Christmas TreeWhat You'll Need:

• Christmas Tree
• Ornaments (varying sizes, shapes, colors)
• Burlap or Ribbon Roll
• Tree Topper
• Christmas Tree Skirt

Step 1: Separate your tree into sections using burlap or ribbon rolls. I love this method because it makes adding your ornaments way easier when you have sections on the tree. Plus, it allows you to space out your similar ornaments with ease. Step2: Use different sizes of ornament balls pushed deep in the tree. Place them next to lights for reflection. Step 3: Add your large ornaments first. Step 4: Fill in the holes with smaller ornaments. Step 5: Add your tree topper and skirt. I use a blanket for my Christmas tree skirt. DIYTerrarium Christmas OrnamentWhat You'll Need:

• DIY Terrarium Christmas Ornament (similar)
• Medium Sisal Tree
• Craft Snow
• Glue Gun
• Glue Sticks
• Ornament Hooks, Twine or Ribbon

STEP 1: Remove the top of the ornament. This allows your sisal tree to fit in without bending. STEP 2: Fill the bottom of your terrarium ornament (similar) with your low temp glue gun, and place your sisal tree on the glue. Push down firmly for 5 seconds. STEP 3: Use your glue gun to spread glue around the bottom of the ornament. Then quickly add in your craft snow. Pushing your snow down into the glue. STEP 4: Use an ornament hook, twine or ribbon to hang your DIY terrarium Christmas ornament!
