We just love creating textured art and colored sand is a perfect way to get started! Join Ella and Annie this spring to create your very own textured sand art cross and Easter egg pictures. Not only does the colorful craft sand add a bit of sparkle, it adds texture that the kids can see and feel. Combine the sand art with various supplies, such as craft foam, paint or construction paper too!

Start by sketching out your design on the white card stock paper. The girls wanted to create a cross on one picture and Easter eggs on the other. To add grass, we used construction paper. You can also use craft foam.

If you decide to use the green sand for the grass or the hills in your picture, outline the border with white Elmer's® glue. On the inside of the shape, use a paint brush or glue spreader to smooth out the glue. Next, sprinkle the sand on top of the glue and shake off the excess.

Repeat step 2 with all the drawings on your picture. Feel free to use different colors of sand or different art supplies, like craft foam, glitter, etc. We love how the cross turned out and doesn't it feel super cool?
