When it comes to Valentine's Day decorating in our home, the more hearts, the better! Check out our Valentine's Day mantel to see what I mean. However, even if you don't typically decorate your home for Valentine's Day, these DIY Valentine's Day terrariums are simple way to add a festive heart-filled touch with just a few minutes of work. All you need are a few small glass jars, Valentine's Day candy and mini hearts. A pair of waxed lips is fun to throw in the mix too!
Start by filling your glass jars half-way with candy. I used a combination of pink candy hearts and red candy hearts.
Now for the fun part! You can create a little Valentine’s Day scene in each jar with a mix of candies and small Valentine toys like these hopping hearts wind-up toys.
A pair of red wax lips adds a nice touch too! I made a little vignette with the lips and two mini heart shaped stress balls.
Lollipops also make great terrarium fillers. They stand up well on their own or can be leaned against the side of the jar and add some nice height to the arrangement. I used hot pink swirl lollipops and pink mini twisty lollipops for these.
These terrariums are so simple but so cute and can be customized to include any variety of small Valentine’s Day items!
