Felt Easter eggs make a great Easter activity for toddlers. You can choose from a variety of colors with our gigantic felt sheets. Have your kids create color and/or shape patterns or name the shapes they are using and allow them to be make this a great learning opportunity. Download the Free Easter Egg Printable here!

Pin the template to the felt and cut around the template. Repeat for each color you would like the egg in.
No template is required. Cut out various shapes from different colors of the felt for your toddler to use when decorating. A few ideas are squares, triangles and circles. You can also use the Glitter Flowers that are pre-cut. A variety of shapes makes this activity more fun!
Using scissors, cut strips of felt with a straight or wavy line. You can also choose to use pinking shears which will give you a zig-zag pattern on the felt.
You can add card stock or cardboard to the back of the eggs for a solid surface. We chose to just leave eggs as they were since Annie decorated her felt eggs at the table. The cardboard would come in handy if your brought the eggs in the car for a travel activity.
DECORATE! Let your kids go to town decorating their felt eggs. The best part, they can create as many designs their little hearts desire.
Annie had a blast creating her own felt Easter eggs. She’s requested the activity multiple times over the past few days and spends at least an hour each time designing her eggs! Felt Easter eggs are the perfect Easter activity for toddlers. Your kids get to be creative and the clean up is much less messy than Easter egg dying. A win-win for mom and toddler! Hoppy Easter!
