Display your desserts in style by following this easy DIY Space Themed Cake Stand tutorial! Your desserts will look as though they are floating on a colorful and glitzy galaxy! Unscrew the clear Footed Cake Stand base from the top and gather your Folkart Glitterific Acrylic Paint.
Turn the top of the cake stand over and paint a portion of the bottom with Folkart Glitterific Hot Pink Acrylic Paint using a Paintbrush.
Paint the other side of the cake stand (bottom side) with Folkart Blue Moon Glitterific Acrylic Paint.
Paint other blank spaces with FolkArt Princess Glitterific Paint and Aqua Blue Glitterific Paint. Swirl paint together with paintbrush.
Before your paint dries, sprinkle the backside of cake stand with Easy Shake Premium Glitter in purple and silver. Set aside and allow to dry (about 1 hour).
After paint is dry, screw the base of cake stand back into top piece. Serve cupcakes or other fun desserts on your new glittery, galactic cake stand! Since all of the paint and glitter was applied to the underside of the cake stand the top surface of the stand is still food safe.
