Spring evokes thoughts of new life, soft cheerful colors and the sunshine starting to peek through the grayness of winter. Why not recreate those very exact feelings in a simple Spring Embroidery Hoop Wreath. From happy ribbons, cozy pom-poms and polka dotted ceramic birds, you can make the sweetest little wreaths to fill your home or front door! Come along as we learn how to make this fun spring wreath.
Begin by wrapping colorful ribbon around the different sized embroidery hoops (small and medium). I started and stopped each ribbon with a dab of hot glue to secure. I also mixed the ribbon colors for extra interest.
Once you have completed wrapping the ribbon around your embroidery hoop, you can add twigs. I loved the variation of pattern that this bundle of twigs contained. I was able to easily break the twigs down to the appropriate size and hot glue them to the hoop.
I added big cream colored pom-poms and yarn to the side of the embroidery hoops.
The finishing touch was adding in polka dot ceramic birds to my spring wreath! The ceramic birds come plain so you can paint them in a solid color, add stripes or create fun colorful polka dots like I did.
Tie the ceramic birds to the top of your embroidery hoop and add an extra dab of hot glue to safely secure.
