If your kids are anything like ours, they love Halloween and especially trick or treating! This year we wanted to let the kids help decorate a canvas tote bag for trick or treating. We love "re-purposing" or using other items as stamps. We'll show you how to make a DIY Stamped Halloween Bag using Halloween foam stickers and shapes! We added an orange yarn tassel as well! See how to make the tassel here.
Cut a piece of freezer paper or wax paper to fit inside of the bag so the paint will not run through to the back of the bag. Slide paper into inside of bag.
Choose the foam sticker/shape you would like to use as a stamp for the bag. I used a large spider web. Punch out the insides of foam shape to show the webbing. Next apply paint to the foam shape using foam brush.
Now gently flip the paint side down onto the bag. Put pressure onto the back of the stamp to get the paint onto the bag. After you have ensured all of the sections of the spider web have been pressed onto the bag, pull up the stamp.
Peel the back off of a spider foam sticker. Place the sticky side on to a piece of foam board or card board. Apply paint to the spider stamp and stamp bag!
