Brigadeiros (Brazilian Chocolate Fudge Balls) are an authentic Brazilian dessert, and since the Summer Games are taking place in Rio de Janeiro, it seems only fitting to serve a Brazilian dessert, right? My daughter Riley loves to bake, so she’s always in the kitchen as my little sous chef! Let’s get cooking!
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 C. baking cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- chocolate and rainbow sprinkles
Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup of cocoa powder in a bowl until smooth. Then add 2 Tbsp. of the softened butter and stir until combined.
Pour mixture into a medium sized saucepan and cook on medium/low for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
Pour fudge onto a greased plate and let cool.
Roll fudge into balls.
Cover in sprinkles and place in candy cups.
They are now ready to serve! The sprinkles may fall off of the Brigadeiros while eating them, so make sure to have some International Flags Dessert Plates and International Flags Beverage Napkins on hand for guests to use to enjoy these yummy treats!
