Now that summer season is here we plan to spend lots of our time outdoors. This summer you’ll find me lounging by the pool, hosting backyard BBQs or dining al fresco on our patio. Of course this call for a refreshing signature beverage that I can whip up and serve no matter what the summer entertaining occasion. This Summer Melon Sangria is the perfect drink that will remind you of carefree summer days. Trust me, this drink is so good it’s going to be your go-to summer sip!
- 4-6 c. Melon Balls (watermelon, cantaloupe honeydew)
- 1 Lime, sliced
- 750 ml Bottle Moscato Wine
- 1 1/2 c. Sparkling Water
- 2 Tbsp. Honey
- 1 Bunch Mint Leaves
Use a melon baller to scoop out the flesh of the melons. Put half of the melon balls in the freezer and chill until ready to serve.
Place the other half of the melon balls in a large pitcher or drink dispenser, add the 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix gently and let rest in fridge until 1 hour before serving.
Add the Moscato wine, mix gently.
Right before serving, add the frozen melon balls as ice cubes, top off with sparkling water.
Add lime slices and mint leaves to garnish.
