For my Urban Industrial Wedding I wanted a cocktail that could pop and hold it's own in a large warehouse venue space. Metallic copper was a must. It is eye-catching and accentuated perfectly against an edgy wood crate bar. The cocktail itself is a summery sloe gin fizz. Sloe gin was traditionally a drink for the depths of winter, as a warming drink. The sloe gin fizz is given a fresh summer makeover with citrus, ginger and a fresh spring berry garnish. Your guests will love this tasty, refreshing and stunning cocktail!
- 2 oz Slow Gin
- 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/3 oz Sugar Syrup
- Ginger Ale
- A Drop of Grenadine
- Summer Berry Garnish
Combine 2 oz of Sloe Gin and 1/3 oz of sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker on top of ice.
Using a lemon, add 1 oz of fresh lemon juice
Top with ginger ale or ginger beer
Add a tiny drop of grenadine on top to get a richer red color. The red really pops against copper.
Strain the cocktail into a copper cup. Garnish with an edible flower and a fresh summer berry.
This Sloe Gin Fizz is a super refreshing and tasty signature cocktail.
To complete the industrial look and feel of this cocktail, add a rose gold foil straw and place on a metallic coaster. I spray painted unfinished wood squares rose gold and added copper foil to get the look.
For cocktail tray service, spray the handles of a Galvinized Metal Tray with Handles copper and use this for serving.
Alternatively serve from an industrial style bar made from wooden crates and a Stained Wood Sign bar top.
