If you are anything like us, we love a DIY way to update accessories – especially bags! This summer we are all about adding flare to our beach bags or even our everyday bags. We are excited to share how to make this DIY Tassel Pom Pom Charm. You can add these to the strap of a straw beach bag or even a blush pink pool bag! You can make the charms in multi colors or even go monochromatic. How cool would a black and white tassel charm be?! We used lots of fun and colorful tassel and poms to create a bright update to an old bag. The mini beach tassels are pretty shades of blue that look darling on the end of the charms.
Follow the directions on the pom-pom making tool packaging. Wrap yarn around both sides of the tool. Trim the end of yarn after wrapping the second side. Tie a 3 in. piece of yarn around the center of tool. Then trim down the center of each side.
Next trim the edges of the pom-pom to make the edges the same length.
Thread the needle onto the twine and start threading the pom-poms and tassels.
Lastly, slide the beach tassels onto the twine. Tie off the twine at the tassel rings. I then tied two strings together to create the DIY Tassel Pom Pom Charm. Loop them over a strap of the bag.
