One simply cannot host a fiesta-themed event without tissue paper flowers. To set the scene for our Babes and Bebidas Bachelorette Party, we layered a plethora of flowers to create a show-stopping stunner. Full of bright colors, this backdrop really packs a punch. Follow along below to create this gorgeous display that will have all your guests lining up to take selfies!
Begin by layering three or four different colors of tissue paper on top of each other. We used two pieces of tissue paper per color. Feel free to vary the width of the paper to yield various sizes of flowers. Our color palette consisted of hot pink, blue, green and yellow, but feel free to adjust accordingly to match your theme!
Next, accordion fold the tissue paper in roughly 1 ½" to 2" sections. Staple the paper in the middle to bundle the pieces together.
Using a pair of sharp scissors, cut each end of the tissue paper bundle with either a curved or pointed edge.
Now gently pull each section of tissue paper apart from the next, careful not to go too quickly or the paper could tear. I find that it's easiest to work one full layer around the flower at a time. Repeat steps 1 through 4 to create enough flowers to cover your DIY Photo Booth Backdrop Board. We created 16 large, 20 medium and 12 small flowers for our backdrop.
Lay the Bebidas Drink Sign at the top of the DIY Photo Booth Backdrop Board, about 12" down, and use hot glue to attach them together. Begin layering in large tissue paper flowers around the sign, securing them to the board with hot glue.
Continue filling in the spaces with additional large, medium and small flowers. Add in a few Bright Assorted Tissue Hanging Fans for more texture and depth.
Once the entire board has been covered with beautiful blooms, lean the eye-catching backdrop against the wall during your Babes and Bebidas Bachelorette Party and prep for all the selfies to follow!
