Let's face it – little treasure hunters get hungry. Better be prepared with easy snack ideas! Kids will love to take a snack break with these fun ideas that play up the Treasure Hunt VBS theme. Whether they sit down to eat or grab and go, there's something to appeal to every VBS treasure hunter.

Fudge Rocks

Heat 24 ounces of chopped white chocolate, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, and a pinch of salt in microwave until the chocolate is melted and stir. Add ¼ cup of Oreo cookie crumbs and stir until smooth. Divide the fudge into 3 bowls and add varying amounts of cookie, cocoa powder and graham cracker crumbs. Chill the fudge in the refrigerator until the fudge is thick – no longer sticky, but still pliable. Roll the fudge into varying sizes of odd-shaped rocks and set aside until firm. Hibiscus Flower Snack Bags

Fill two sealable snack bags with goodies such as fruit snacks or colorful cereal. Pinch the center of the bag, making sure the filling is distributed equally on each side of the snack bags. Place the centers of each bag on top of each other and secure with one end of a chenille stem. Fold down the extra chenille stem on top of itself and twist. Download, print and cut out the free printable hibiscus flower middles. Cut slits in the middle of the flower and slip it onto the twisted chenille stem. Veggie Vines

Use a mandolin slicer to cut a cucumber into long vertical slices. Place a cube of cheese onto a skewer. Next, place the end of the cucumber slice on onto a skewer, then place a cherry tomato and repeat! Download the Free Food Label Tent here!

Treasure Cupcakes

Make homemade cupcakes or go the easy route and pick up some pre-made frosted cupcakes. Unwrap two Hershey's® Nugget Chocolates and frost the bottoms of them with chocolate frosting. Place one frosted nugget top down onto the frosted cupcake. Place Mini Chocolate M&M's® onto the chocolate frosting and top with the remaining chocolate nugget, frosted side down. These Edible Gummy Gem rings are as easy as it gets! Simply place a small dab of chocolate frosting onto a round pretzel.
