The perfect camp themed kids craft idea! Along with making the Watercolor Paper Tent, try making a mini tent village too with your little ones. You can add paper trees, paper people, etc. This craft is easy, inexpensive and only requires a few items.

Cut your cardstock in half. Each piece will be 5.5 in. x 8 in.

Let each kid paint their own design on the half sheet. We talked about symmetry and how it looks great to have both sides be symmetrical, but any design will look great. Leave a non-painted area in the center for folding (that will be the top of your tent).

After the paint has dried, fold each lengthwise side over about 1/4 inch. You will use these folded strips to glue your Popsicle sticks on. Then fold the paper in half. Have adults do the hot gluing. Run a line of hot glue on each 1/4 folded strip. Add your large popsicle stick. Leave about a 1/2 inch on the bottom of the tent overhang, and about 1 inch on the top. Repeat this gluing step on the other 3 sides.

This was such a sweet camp-themed kids’ craft. My girls have loved making a tent village. Try adding trees, paper dolls, rocks, grass, etc.! The best part is watching their creative little minds play!
