Is there a person you are extra thankful for? It is that time of the year to reflect on what and who we are thankful for. Thanksgiving is just around the corner (how did that happen!?!) and I know my kids will be doing some reflection. It’s a time I think we can all appreciate. During this time I really to focus on completing projects which are meaningful to the upcoming holiday. I say, don’t fight it! Just go with it.

Cut out a square magnet from the magnet sheet and adhere it to the back of the hand print.

Encourage students to decide who they are thankful for. They can then write why they are thankful for this person on a journal card.

There you have it! Add this project to a station or complete it as a whole group. Students just love making and giving these thankful turkeys! You can also make a few extras to use as bulletin board decorations.
