Add depth to your otherwise flat tablescape. This DIY wood slice display stand uses paint and a chalk marker to display party food, favors, and more.

Step

Paint two coats of black paint on the wood slice. Another option is to use clear polyurethane or another color of paint.

Step

Cut your tree branch to the length you desire. Make sure the ends are perfectly level, so your display stand doesn’t lean. Apply a coat of E6000® or Wood Glue and attach to the underside of your wood slice. Let sit overnight to cure.

Once dry, using the chalk markers, write your desired saying onto the stand. You can also jus decorate the stand with a fun design!
