Use black and white acrylic paint and a flat bristled paint brush to paint a DIY Wooden Slat Sign using the slats on the sign as a guide to paint the stripes.
Fold a piece of scrap paper in half and cut out a 10-11” heart shape. Using the heart shape as a template, trace the heart onto the slat sign with a pencil. This will serve as a guide when hot gluing on the wood slices to the wood slat sign.
Paint the middles of some of the Small Unfinished Wood Slices and Birch Wood Discs with fun colors. We chose a mix of aqua, hot pink, light pink, and gold. Apply a layer of gold Stickles™ to the gold painted wood slices.
Once the paint and glitter is dry, arrange and glue the wood slices onto the DIY wooden Slat Sign using the penciled heart as a guide. Layering the thin wood slices first and then the thicker wooden sliced on top.
Just imagine how cute this sign will look on your mantle or entryway table nestled in with your Valentine’s Day Décor.
