The adhesive used to make the lanterns wasn't dry when they were laid flat so they were stuck to themselves. When I tried to open them they got holes in some of them.

Simple, but as described. One minor issue
We had to use pliers to bend the metal part before placing it inside. The part where it was soldered would snap if we didn't bend it above that part.

Very Cute but Hard To Assemble
I bought these to use as accents for several events. Technically they are reusable - you can pop the wire in and out and collapse for storage. I will say however these are not the easiest things to put together. I have some of the larger lanterns and they are a breeze to get that wire in and out. With these you do not have a lot of room to work and you really have to pull on the top lip to secure the wire. I punctured two with the wire trying to get them to properly seat. The reward is they look really cute!

The small lanterns are perfect for centerpiece additions. Just order extras because the paper is thin and does tear.

Flaws are a necessary evil if you want these !
I purchased these lanterns to make into halloween lites -
draw faces on them with permanent marker and add a strand
of lites. Skeleton or ghost faces with white lites, pumpkin
faces with orange. . .
I have small, dainty fingers and had a hard time getting the
Wire piece inserted and set up correctly inside the lantern.
I actually had 4 small holes poked into the lantern by the time
I gave up on the first one. I could not have been more gentle!
So o o you have to want them badly to make them work!

Love the color; the assembly, not so much. The little holes at the top are plastic--other lanterns I've use, it was metal; I had trouble getting the metal piece to fit properly. I spent a long time moving, pressing, repositioning, but the paper didn't tear. These lanterns make great additions to decorating and the small size was perfect to complement the other items around it (VBS stuff).
