I purchased these pencils for a promo for my business. I like the color and quality of the item, but I am disappointed that the message color is only available in black. Because of the deep blue color, the black message is not very discernible. In fact, handing a few out to some carpenters, they didn't even notice the message until I pointed it out.
If white was available for message color, I'd rate 5 stars.

Can't read the personalization. Need to change the color!
Pencils are great, but the black writing doesn't show up well enough on the blue pencils. Imprint should be white, or maybe silver or gold to show up better!

Pretty pencil
Very disappointed with color of name on pencil. Cannot be distinguished from color of pencil. Thought the color of name would be black so you could see name. Very hard to read his name.

Almost as expected
They are great pencils but I thought the writing would be in black and it was just a carved engraving not stamped. In the gold color it makes it hard To read so I was a bit disappointed. In a darker color I'm Sure it would appear better.

Worst Purchase ever
You could not verify the encryption because the page would never appear. I did not exceed the allotted characters. I received the pencils with year 201 instead of 2016. My daughter was so disappointed and so was I.

Accurate engraving, but doesn't look that great
I purchased these pencils as favors for my wedding. I had our names and the date engraved on them. The engraving was accurate. However, the engraving cuts through to the wood of the pencil, so you see the wood color which doesn't look that great. I remedied this by coloring over the engraving with a purple magic marker (my wedding color) and immediately wiping away the excess. The engraving is now purple and looks cool (see photo).

Hard to read
The pencils are fine, however the color of the pencil and the color of the lettering offered makes it very hard to read the personalized wording. There was no choice in the matter.
Maybe offer white lettering?

Love 'em
For those of us in love with school supplies, these bring warm fuzzies. I order packs each year for my kid and for her besties. I love that you can choose the ink color so it's sure to show up. I love that they show you a preview so you know what it will look like. The pencils work :) and sharpen well. My only wish is that they'd come in more patterns. Especially bird patterns. :)
