Wondering how to keep the kids busy at home during winter break? Introducing Camp Fun Winter! Based on our Camp Fun series of simple crafts and activities to do at home, this winter version is sure to be a hit with kids. From making a snowy castle or a wintery mobile with the help of a simple craft kit, to creating fluffy owls from pinecones and cotton balls, we have lots of fun winter craft ideas. We've also created a variety of indoor activities to keep kids entertained including a snowball toss game, a recipe for making your own snow, and a printable I Spy Game.
This 3D Winter Castle Craft Kit comes with all the pieces you need to make six winter castles! The foam pieces are adhesive so you don't even have to worry about glue. You can make a castle similar to the example in the instructions or get creative putting your own spin on it.
Make the view outside more cheerful this winter by hanging a pretty mobile in the window. Start with the felt pieces in this Winter Hanging Decoration Kit then apply a layer of Mod Podge to the felt piece with a foam brush. Then sprinkle with this Winter Glitter Assortment to add some sparkle to the felt pieces which include polar bears, reindeer and snowflakes. Let dry and then hang the felt pieces to the wood dowel along with the mini pine cones and jingle bells included in the kit. These craft trays are great for helping corral the glitter!
For a simple craft activity, make pinecone owls with pinecones and cotton balls. Tear the cotton balls into smaller pieces and stick between the pinecone layers. Then freehand cut out a pair of eyes, wings and a beak from felt and glue them to the pinecone. Finish with a pair of googly eyes!
Set out four large pails or baskets and number them. We used these snowflake cutouts and white vinyl numbers to add a wintery touch to our baskets. Space the baskets apart and then try to toss a Funny Face Snowball into each for a fun indoor game. These plush snowballs are also great for an impromptu snowball fight!
