When I think of boho style my mind wanders to dreamy teepees and an eclectic array of colors and patterns. Layering all these things together, with a subtle modern geometric touch, we created a whimsical Boho Teepee Centerpiece that looked stunning sitting in the center of our table during our Fall Boho Bridal Shower. Follow the steps below to create an eye-catching showstopper of your own!
Begin by painting your DIY mini teepee a solid color. I chose a pale blush pink color for the base of mine, but feel free to vary it based on your color palette.
Once the first layer of paint has fully dried, apply a strip of washi tape starting at the front of the teepee, and then going down at a diagonal angle on the side and into the center of the teepee. Repeat this on the opposite side.
Next, paint the area below the washi tape with a second color from your theme's color palette, such as navy blue.
Repeat Step 2 and apply another long strip of washi tape about an inch or so above the first line of tape.
Paint the second taped off section a third coordinating color such as a rich burgundy.
Remove the strips of tape while the paint is still slightly wet, and then touch up any spots where the paint may have seeped under the tape.
Create a small floral cluster to add to the teepee by combining a rose bloom from a blush pink kissing ball, a section of leaves from a pink azalea garland, a few sprigs of faux greenery and a bit of frosted greenery.
Finally, place the DIY Teepee Centerpiece in the middle of your table to create a beautiful focal piece during your Fall Boho Bridal Shower!
