Harry Potter fans know that everyone's favorite place to grab a refreshing Butterbeer is at The Three Broomsticks, of course! This favorite Hogsmeade spot inspired our fun and functional DIY project. Mix up our simple Butterbeer recipe and serve up your favorite sweet beverage on this custom Three Broomsticks DIY Serving Tray! Download the Free Three Broomsticks Printable here before starting.
Start by printing out the Three Broomsticks Printable on a standard 8x11 piece of computer paper.
Next, heavily coat the back of the printout with chalk. Consider using a colored chalk that will show up better on the gray tray. Shake off any excess chalk.
Center the printout on the gray wood plank tray. Use a piece of washi tape to secure the printout in place while you transfer the logo.
Using a sharp pencil, trace over the printout with a heavy hand. This will transfer a chalk outline of the design onto the tray.
Using a black Sharpie Marker, carefully trace over the chalk outline.
This will leave you with a perfectly outlined transfer! Brush any excess chalk off with a dry paintbrush.
Now that your tray is complete, mix up this super simple Butterbeer recipe. Start by combining 6-8 oz. of cream soda, 1/8 tsp. artificial butter flavoring, 1/8 tsp. butterscotch flavoring.
Mix the ingredients together then, pour the butterbeer into a Monogrammed Beer Mug and add a gold paper straw. Top off your butterbeer with a dollop of whipped cream. For an authentic way to enjoy your Butterbeer, add customization to your beer mug using a Cricut Machine, sticker letters or simply with a permanent marker. Enjoy!
