Ever looked for a candle color and just couldn't find it? Well with this DIY you will learn how to create candles in any shade you desire! By melting crayons with wax you can create candles in any color to match your wedding theme. We created the prettiest maroon candles to match our jewel tone Fall tablescape but the options are endless. Read on below to learn how to create dip dyed candles in any shade!
First you will need to create a double boiler. Fill a pot with about 1/2 an inch of water and place your can in the center. Fill the can with a broken candle and turn the oven up to boil.
Once, your wax has melted add in crayons in your desired colors. I mixed two different red shades to create my candles. Make sure to remove the paper wrappers before adding to your pot!
Carefully remove your candle from the hot wax and leave to dry on wax paper. The candles should dry within a few minutes. Have fun with your colors and mix things up by dipping taper and pillar candles!
