If you would like to make a festive wreath to decorate your front door this fall, it doesn't get much easier than this! This DIY fall burlap wreath is as simple as weaving strips of burlap through a wire wreath form and adding a few fall accents such as leaves and pine cones. Once you have the basic technique down you'll want to make a different burlap wreath for each holiday throughout the year!

Cut the large rolled burlap into 5" wide strips. Don't worry about measuring them perfectly, somewhere around 5" wide each will work! You should have three long strips after cutting the burlap roll.

Weave one strip of the burlap through the wire wreath frame and tie the burlap in a knot on the back of the frame.

Flip the wreath frame over to the front and pull some of the burlap through between two of the wires on the frame to create a loop that is a couple inches long.

Twist the burlap one time and then pull it up between another row of the wire wreath form to create a new loop. Once you have created the second loop, twist the burlap again and pull it through another set of wires to repeat the process. Push the loops together as you go to create a nice full wreath.

Once you have come to the end of your first strip of burlap, tie in a knot. Then add a second strip of burlap by tying in a knot around the frame and continuing to loop the burlap through the frame as shown in the previous steps.

If you want, you can add a contrasting color of burlap ribbon to finish your frame. I chose a 5" wide yellow burlap ribbon for the area of the wreath that I planned to decorate with fall leaves and pine cones. If you prefer to use the natural colored burlap throughout the wreath, you will need two rolls of the large burlap to provide enough to cover all of the wreath form.

Finish by adding a few fall accents with a dab of hot glue. I decorated mine with mini pine cones and a few burlap fall leaves. I painted the leaves with a coat of Mod Podge to stiffen them before adding them to the wreath.
