One of the best parts about attending a bridal shower is coming home with a cute favor! Who wouldn't want to bring home one of these adorable and trendy terrariums after celebrating the bride to be?! We added our own chic touches to transform this terrarium into a gorgeous personalized place card favor that your guests will love long after the celebration is over! Get started on creating your fabulous DIY Fall Terrarium Place Card Favor by giving the plain wooden base a modern farmhouse feel. To do this, we will need to create a white wash effect. Gather up your base, a foam paint brush and white paint.
Next, create the white wash. To mix up your white wash, mix equal parts water and White Acrylic Paint in a Paper Cup.
Now that you've mixed up a batch of white wash paint, liberally apply the white wash mixture to the Unfinished Wood Base for a light, modern rustic feel. Dab off any excess white wash and allow the wash to completely dry before moving on. We used a Sponge Paint Brush to achieve our look.
Next it is time to decorate the globe portion of the Terrarium! Start by cutting a small circle of floral foam to fit inside the glass sphere and add a bit of moisture to keep your florals fresher longer. Then place your fresh flowers inside the globe.
Once the fresh flowers are inside the globe, mix in some Faux Succulent Picks for a touch of greenery.
To create a fresh fall feel to your Terrarium, place a Metallic Mini Pumpkin or Gourd to each favor intermixed with the flowers.
Now that the globe is full, its time to start creating the place cards. Start by trimming up a two inch by one inch piece of blue scrapbook paper from the Full Color Spectrum Color Pack.
Now that you have cut your paper, trim up some Gold Glitter Washi Tape to add a detail to the card.
Add the washi tape detail to the bottom of the place cards, aligning the tape with the bottom of the card.
Add each guests name to the place cards and place the card inside each favor.
Now that the white wash coat is completely dry, add a washi tape detail to the bottom of the terrarium base for a coordinating pop of gold glitter. This looked so chic and original at each guest's place setting!
Lastly, display your DIY Fall Terrarium Place Card Favor alongside each place setting at your Fall Pastel Bridal Shower and dazzle your guests with this modern favor that they'll love displaying at home after the celebration has ended!
