Just because you are hosting a fall themed bridal shower doesn't mean everything has to be dull autumn inspired colors! We recently hosted a Fall Pastel Bridal Shower and put a bright, colorful spin on everything fall! The star of our shower was this gorgeous pumpkin centerpiece, brimming with pastel colors, soft, feminine florals and hints of glittering gold. With our easy to follow tutorial you can easily recreate this DIY Pastel Pumpkin Centerpiece at home in no time!
First things first, get colorful! We painted three sets of DIY Decorative Pumpkin Sets in an array of bright colors. We tried to choose shades of similar colors for an ombre effect. We chose three pink and peach tones and two yellow tones. You can easily swap these colors out to what works for your color palette.
Add a pop of color to the Metallic Mini Pumpkin & Gourd Assortment. Separate any white pumpkins and gourds and leave them to the side to be used as is. Then add a coat of paint to the others in the same colors as you painted the DIY Decorative Pumpkin Set
and allow them to dry completely. These each took two coats for complete coverage.
Get ready to assemble the centerpiece! Start by laying out a runner made from a Gold & Silver Reversible Foil Leaf Fabric Roll. We used the gold side and simply rolled out the fabric and trimmed it to the length of our table. Now that your runner is in place, arrange the painted DIY Decorative Pumpkin Sets in a colorful pattern of your choosing in the center of the fabric table runner.
After you have arranged the DIY Decorative Pumpkin Sets, cut a small circle of floral foam and adhere it into the Gold Glitter Pumpkin Votive Holders and add some fresh and faux flowers to the votive holders. Don't forget to add a bit of moisture so your flowers stay fresh all day. Intermix some Faux Succulent Picks for a modern green touch.
Now we are ready to mix in those adorable painted Metallic Mini Pumpkin & Gourds! Place the mini pumpkins and gourds into two Gold Trim Open Top Terrariums and place one at each end of the centerpiece.
Now that the DIY Decorative Pumpkin Sets, the Gold Glitter Pumpkin Votive Holders and the Gold Trim Open Top Terrariums are in place, add a mix of fresh flowers and Faux Succulent Picks in between each element for a full, chic, fall look.
