We just love Valentine's Day! Full of hearts, candies and love, it's a day that just bring a smile to our faces! For our recent cute as a cookie Valentine's Day Party, we wanted our adorable little guests to feel as darling as can be with coordinating custom aprons and bakers hats, complete with heart pockets, rickrack trim, hearts and bows! You can easily recreate this adorable look at home with a few crafty supplies!
Start by creating the no-sew heart pockets for your Red Apron. Begin by cutting a heart shape roughly 5 inches wide by 4 inches tall out of a Felt Sheet. We opted for pink hearts for our girl apron and white hearts for our boy apron, but you can easily swap to any color!
Next, using a bit of fabric glue, adhere each pocket to the Red Apron leaving the top of the heart without any glue. This will leave space for pockets for little hands!
Next, add a bit of detail to the pockets with some Cotton Rickrack Trim around the perimeter of each pocket. Secure the trim in place with more fabric glue then add a Felt heart to the center of the pocket.
Now, select a Heart-Shaped Button of your choosing and hot glue it to the front of each bow. Allow it to cool completely.
Every adorable miniature Apron of course needs a coordinating Baking Hat to go with it! Start by adding Cotton Rickrack Trim to the base of the hat using fabric glue.
Repeat step 4 and 5 then secure the bow to the side of the Baking Hat along with a Button across the front. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours.
To create a boy hat, simply added a Felt heart to the hat and leave the bow detail off.
