Valentine's Day is one of our favorite days of the year! What's not to love; you receive a bounty of candy, notes and treats from friends and family, everything is covered in hearts and the classic colors include pink and red! When we were dreaming up our recent Modern Valentine's Day Party, we wanted to create a uniquely adorable way for our littles to collect all of their love notes, sweets and treats. We created this DIY envelope chair backer, inspired by a coordinating banner, all the while keeping all of these concepts in mind! You can create some of these new sew chair backers at home for your little ones in no time at all and with a few adorable supplies!
Start creating your DIY Felt Envelope Chair Backer by using a Glue Gun to secure two pieces of colored Felt Sheets to one another along 3 sides, leaving the top of the felt pieces completely open.
Now, grab another piece of Felt and cut it into a wide U shape to mimic the back flap of an envelope and glue all sides to the back of your other glued Felt Sheet pieces.
Next, using hot Glue, secure Cotton Rickrack Trim around the perimeter of the felt envelope for a cute and youthful detail.
Add Heart-Shaped Buttons to each of the four corners using a dot of hot glue.
Cut a heart shaped cookie from a Frosted Fun Paper Dessert Plates and add it to the center of the back flap of the envelope. Then add another Heart-Shaped Button to the center of the cookie.
Tie each Ribbon to a chair to suspend it on the back.
Lastly, enjoy your adorable new DIY Valentine's Day Felt Envelope Chair Backer at a Baking Themed Valentine's Day Party or all season long as a cute piece of Valentine's Day decor!
