No bachelorette party is complete without a fun bridal sash drawing attention to the guest of honor. Especially not a Glam Punk bachelorette party where it's all about the fashion statement! Make the bride feel like Blondie for the night with this DIY Glam Punk "Bride to Be" Bachelorette Sash. Using the fun & bright pink "Future Mrs" bridal sash, add a few cost-effective supplies and follow my simple step-by-step tutorial to make your "bride to be" the queen of punk rock!
Begin by folding a Black Sequin Table Runner in half lengthwise.
Next, cut the join in the Future Mrs. Sash and lay the sash out length ways down the center of the black sequin runner. When in position, tie the ends of the sash to the sequin runner with Pink Faux Leather Cording.
Next, add embellishments to the base sash & sequins. Have fun when it comes to what gets pinned to the sash with keeping in mind weight and comfort. I went with a Custom Photo Buttons, punk pins and Crown Charms secured using Gold Charm Pins and Artist Safety Pins.
Next, take a length of Nylon Black Chain and a Chain Silvertone Large Link Chain Necklace.
Secure one end of the chains to the sash tie using an Artist Safety Pin.
Secure the other end of the chains to the shoulder (this can be adjusted to fit the "bride to be" later on) using a pin again, this time leave some slack so that the chains will hang when the sash is worn.
The sash is now ready for fitting. Once the bride arrives, place it over her shoulder, tie the two ends together at her hip using a length Black Faux Leather Cording. Once secured in place and at the right length take a pair of scissors and snip off the excess sequin runner.
