On a covered work area, measure up the side of each candle about five or six inches and wrap the candle section with painter's tape to create a line of demarcation, ensuring that the bottom of the tape is level all the way around.

Paint the bottom of the candle, up to the tape, first with a coat of purple acrylic paint from your own craft supplies. The glitter paint has a clear base, so if you prefer a more transparent look you can skip this part of the step. Once dry, paint over the color with a coat of Glitterific paint in "Princess", which is a stunning mix of magenta, purple and turquoise, perfect for a peacock themed color palette like this one. Allow to dry and repeat this step as many times as you like, until you have achieved the level of glitter that you would like. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Remove the painter's tape, and wrap a short length of ribbon from a purple ribbon wand around to conceal the seam. Secure ribbon using hot glue.

Trim a peacock feather to desired length, (ensuring that it will not get burnt when the candle is lit). Adhere to the front of the candle over the seam in the ribbon, as shown, using hot glue.

Use spray paint to cover the surface of a silver metal unity candle holder, being sure to get the underside. For this design, we used a gold metallic spray paint. Place the completed candles into the candle holder, and display at your peacock inspired party along with fresh florals, floating candles in a floating candle bowl, and add a mix of purple distressed glass votive holders and peacock frosted votives, for added light and glamour.
