Create a dramatic and moody fall masquerade tablescape using taper candle holders, masquerade masks, rhinestones and pearls. This elegant look is perfect for fall, and has just the right amount of sparkle and shine. Pair these pretty candleholders with a black and white wedding, or add your own touches of color for a bold and decadent design. Matte black spray paint is the key to this modern look, which sparkles without being overly feminine.
Prepare your supplies, and arrange five pair of Silver Taper Candle Holders on plastic sheeting to prepare for painting. Protect your work area and wear a mask.
Using matte black spray paint, paint the candle holders black, on the inside and the outside, and allow to dry.
Prepare a small dish of rhinestones and pearls for embellishing the candle stick. I like to use the base of a pedestal candy dish!
Using hot glue, adhere a blend of rhinestones and pearls in a cascade pattern down the front of the candle holder.
Spray paint a Masquerade Mask in matte black spray paint and allow to dry. Prepare Mod Podge and Gold Leaf, as well as a paint brush.
Apply gold leaf in abstract, random patterns on the surface of the mask. It's helpful to use your fingers to rub the gold leaf into the surface for an ornate, gilded appearance.
