Shine bright like a diamond with this gorgeous centerpiece that literally lights up your bridal shower table. Putting together this stylish and unique centerpiece is easy with my simple step-by-step tutorial.
Spell out "LOVE" or whatever else fits your bridal shower celebration and then have a little fun with affordable rhinestone, jewel, and watercolor embellishments. Even better, you'll be able to display the letters in your home afterward during the build-up to your wedding or even at your reception on the day!
I started with the letter "V". Apply double sided tape, glue dots or use glue around the shape of the letter.
Tip: I found tape worked well around the outside of the letter. When it came to the harder to reach areas inside the shape (the dip in the "V", the inside circle of the "O", etc.) glue dots were easier to apply.
Once complete, repeat for the remaining letters.
Next, cut the silver jewel effect roll into the width required for the letters.
Tip: Measure & cut against the letter.
Apply the cut strip of the jewel roll to the tape and press into place, securing it firmly.
Next, paint the letter insert. This is a plain white piece of card in the shape of the letter that can be decorated.
I used watercolor pens to decorate the insert. I selected pinks and yellows to work with my color palette. Draw solid diamond shapes and then using water to soften the edges to give the watercolor effect.
Repeat this step for each of your letters.
Next, select an assortment of DIY Unfinished Wood Diamonds and paint these in solid colors. Once dry, apply the shapes to the darker diamond parts of the watercolor design you painted in the previous step (onto the letter inserts).
Apply to your preference.
Finally, push the insert back into the letter frame. Then follow the included instructions and push in the light bulbs strand of lights.
Repeat for each of the letters in your centerpiece.
You can now place the letters on your table. Spell out LOVE and light it up! I love this fun and bold DIY idea especially because it can be customized for any word or party theme!
