Bringing in hues of buttery yellows and deep reds was must in our recent Marigold and Poppy Inspired Wedding. We wanted to extend that palette into the wedding favors our guests would be taking home, so we created this cute DIY Favor Box; a simple project and gesture that added the perfect pop of color to our event!
Begin by assembling the White Favor Box and painting it a lovely hue of red to match the palette of the event. Allow to dry.
Adorn the box with yellow velvet ribbon.
Place 3 pieces of Yellow Tissue Paper on top of one another and cut into 2" strips. Fold the strip accordion style until you are left with one square and then staple in the center.
Trim the edges of the tissue paper square into a circle.
Cut small slits around the entire circle and then fluff. It will look like a marigold flower bloom!
Adhere the tissue paper flower to the Favor Box using Glue Dots. Cut out a few leaf shapes from Green Construction Paper and place underneath the tissue paper flower. Attach with Glue Dots.
Add a DIY Favor Box to each place setting at your Marigold and Poppy Inspired Wedding and enjoy!
