Adding floral notes to cocktail is one of our favorite things to enjoy, and this Marigold Cocktail is one we couldn't wait to try! This light and refreshing aperitif is an intriguing blend of marigold tea, lemon juice, vodka and champagne and was a lovely addition to our recent Marigold and Poppy Wedding. Follow the recipe below to make a cocktail of your own!
- 2 c. Water
- 1 c. Sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Dried Marigold Leaves
- 1 oz. Lemon Juice
- 1 1/2 oz. Vodka
- Champagne
Begin by making your marigold simple syrup. Add 1 cup water, the sugar and 3 Tbsp marigold leaves to a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce and simmer for 10 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and strain.
For the tea, bring 1 cup of water to boil and then pour over the marigold leaves and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
Add the lemon juice and marigold-infused simple syrup to a drink shaker and muddle.
Add vodka, tea, champagne and ice cubes then shake.
Pour your marigold cocktail into a Classic Champagne Glass. Top with a marigold flower and enjoy!
