The absolute best way to show your gal pals they're "stuck with your friendship" is to create these adorable DIY Mini Clay Cactus Photo Holders to display their pictures during your Cactus Inspired Galentine's Party! After the party ends, your friends can take them home and add new photos you've taken together during your fiesta.

Knead the Fimo Soft Polymer Green Clay until it's pliable, then shape into the body of a cactus. I shaped mine with a bit of a tapered look, being wider at the top than bottom. As with anything in nature, each one took on a slightly different shape.

Next, break one piece off and roll into two skinny "arms" per cactus. Once you have the desired lengths for the arms, curve them upwards and then stick them onto either side of the cactus shape.

Using a toothpick or bamboo skewer gently score a line into the tops of each cactus.

To add the cactus "needles", draw lines into the cactus with the toothpick/bamboo skewer.

Galentine cacti most definitely need hearts. To form them, take a small piece of an alternate color of clay (I used the turquoise, purple, hot pink and yellow) and form a rounded triangle. With the single point facing down, use the toothpick/bamboo skewer to roll into the top center to give it the dip of the heart. Simply push the hearts you've created onto the cactus until it sticks.

Place all your newly formed cacti shapes onto a baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 230°F for 25 minutes. The clay will be completely hardened once it has fully cooled to room temperature.
