The races are coming, and if you are hosting a Kentucky Derby viewing party you will want to create your own DIY Mint Julep Bar to celebrate!

Gather up the gold glitter horseshoe garland, red rose garland and boxwood mats to create the backdrop for your mint julep bar cart. Start by tying four boxwood mats together with twine. Hang it above the area where you'll be putting your bar cart and then layer the horseshoe and rose garlands on the boxwood mat.

Select a variety of signs from the Derby Day Cutouts. I layered the "A Day at the Races" sign on top of one of my DIY black and white buffalo check signs to create a large focal point on the bar cart.

Download and print the Mint Julep Recipe Sign. Use glue dots to attach it to the clear acrylic sign. I like to use these signs to display menus, custom cocktail recipes or decor. Simply remove the printable when you are finished and you can use the sign at your next event.

Cover the top of the bar cart with a piece of the artificial grass roll, and stock your bar cart with quality Kentucky Bourbon, simple syrup and fresh mint. Add the Mint Julep Recipe sign so guests can make their own cocktails during the party.

Incorporate other decorations like a trophy cup filled with roses and horses to give your cart that classic derby feel.
