Creating memories to reflect upon each holiday season is one of the most heartwarming components of the holidays. We love to have the kids create unique Christmas ornaments to adorn our tree each year. This year we wanted to create an ornament for the tree that involved using their fingerprints. Creating an adorable pack of reindeer seemed like the perfect option for our DIY ornament craft!
Start creating this sweet keepsake ornament by popping open a DIY Clear Ornament. Add a bit of Iridescent Glitter to Red Paint and mix well. Pour the glittered paint into the DIY Ornament.
Have the children dip their fingertips into Brown Paint then gently press their fingertips onto the Ornament to create the reindeer heads.
Using a Sharpie Marker, draw a set of antlers on each reindeer fingerprint.
Using a bit of Hot Glue, adhere small Googly Eyes to each reindeer fingerprint.
Now, add a small red Pom Pom nose to each reindeer fingerprint.
Tie a bow using Red Satin Ribbon and adhere it to the top of the Ornament using Hot Glue.
Using another dot of Hot Glue, adhere a large Jingle Bell to the side of the bow for a fun detail. You could also attach the jingle bell to the ornament by tying Baker's Twine through the ornament's hole on top.
Hang this precious keepsake ornament on your tree year after year or wrap it up as a sweet gift for a family member!
